Classical

Our study of classic music is designed for students of all ages, all levels. The curriculum includes notes reading, rhythm study and repertoire from the Baroque, classical, romantic and 20th century period. Our students learn each piece with an understanding of harmonic structures and form. A progressive study of technique and harmony is taught in conjunction.

Beginning Piano:

Note reading, the study of rhythm and hand technique is implemented in conjunction.

College Preparation:

For those students needing help with college placement auditions, we offer a short-term individual instructions for exam preparation.

Improvisation – Pop music:

A basic or advanced knowledge of music theory helps understand the thought process of arrangement allowing the student to be better improvisation . We believe that understanding harmony gives the student a greater sense of pleasure and satisfaction on their musical journey.

Harmony – Theory:

The study of harmony is brought to all of our students. Whether applied to classical or pop, the piano student gains better understanding of how music is created. A basic or advanced knowledge of music theory helps understand the thought process of composers such as Beethoven and Ellington, allowing the student to be better connected to the music they play. Our approach is progressive, to the point and always applied to the piano.

We believe that understanding harmony gives the student a greater sense of pleasure and satisfaction on their musical journey.

Piano for Songwriters:

Designed for the songwriter or lyricist who needs to get his or her music up and running on the piano as an instrument for recording, performing or co-writing purposes. The purpose of this class is to enable the songwriter to master an introductory, intermediate and advanced application of the mechanics of the instrument in order to facilitate and express the student’s own voice as an artist.

Piano for Singers:

Designed for the singer who needs to get his or her music up and running on the piano as an instrument for vocal accompany. The purpose of this class is to enable the singer to master an introductory, intermediate and advanced application of the mechanics of the instrument in order to facilitate and express the student’s own voice as an artist.
